L'Auberge du Bonheur is the hidden restaurant in the Bois de Boulogne. With its large, leafy terrace in summer and cosy chalet by the fire in winter, it's the place to enjoy fine bistronomic dishes all year round. Hidden behind the famous Grande Cascade, this little corner of paradise awaits you for moments of pure relaxation.

L'Auberge du Bonheur is a former farmhouse transformed into a hotel that you'll want to discover this summer. Situated in the Bois de Boulogne, close to the sublime Parc de Bagatelle, theHippodrome de Longchamp and the GoodPlanet foundation , and behind the Grande Cascade (a historic, Michelin-starred restaurant of the same group), the Auberge du Bonheur boasts a cosy , leafy address where serenity and joie de vivre are the order of the day.

From October to April, the Auberge offers a fireplace and generous, comforting dishes. The restaurant remains open every day for lunch, and can be transformed on request into a comfortable veranda for a private evening, just like at home.

In summer, you can enjoy lunch under the trees on the large, leafy terrace, close to the beautiful wisteria, which is lush in season.

Here and there, families come to relax on Sundays, celebrate birthdays in groups, laugh, talk loudly, sing, it's simple, it's the Auberge's verdant setting that makes us forget the stress of Parisian life and enjoy life to the full. At the Auberge du Bonheur, Thai chef Benjawan Guérin is busy preparing a delicious menu inspired by Asian cuisine.

Having worked in the kitchens of the Grande Cascade and the Bellagio, the chef is a jack-of-all-trades who has managed to combine the Auberge canaille spirit with her culture of spices and sauces.

The result, whether traditional or exotic, is a feast for the palate: crayfish tails go well with avocado, home-marinated salmon (the same served at the Cascade) and fresh langoustines are a perfect match for vegetable macédoine.

As for the main courses, you'll be seduced by the perfectly cooked octopus a la plancha or the crispy pork belly with celery purée (a nod to Asia, you'll understand).

No meal is complete without dessert, and we end on a high note with the excellent strawberry soup with vanilla ice cream or the famous Martinique amber rum baba.

Time flies at the Auberge: children laugh heartily, run around the gardens on sunny days under the watchful eye of the staff, friends get up and sing happy birthday, and we enjoy the sunshine we've been missing lately. All in all, an ideal place to relax and enjoy a lovely meal, before or after a stroll in the surrounding green spaces.

In winter, you can move closer to the fireplace and enjoy the generous cuisine in a mountain chalet atmosphere in a natural setting.
