L'Auberge du Bonheur is the hidden restaurant in the Bois de Boulogne. Go and discover the lush terrace where bistronomic dishes expect you. Hidden behind the famous "Cascade", this small corner of paradise expects you for genuine moments of relaxation.

L’Auberge du Bonheur is a former farm transformed into a hotel that you must visit this summer. Located in Paris Bois de Boulogne, very close to the Hippodrome de Longchamp and Yann Artus-Bertrand’s new Fondation GoodPlanet, behind the restaurant La Grande Cascade (a starred hotel belonging to the same group), L’Auberge du Bonheur can boast about being a green address where tranquility and happiness are the watchwords.

Here and there, families here for relaxing on a Sunday, friends here for a birthday, people laugh, people talk loud, people sing, it is so simple… L’Auberge green setting makes us forget the stress of Paris and enjoy life. At L’Auberge du Bonheur, the female Thai chef, Benjawan Guérin, works hard to offer you a menu inspired by Asian cuisine.

The chef worked at La Grande Cascade and at Le Bellagio. She tried a lot of cuisines and managed to combine the cheeky atmosphere of L’Auberge with her culture of spices and sauces.

As a result, whether they are traditional or exotic, dishes will please your taste buds: crawfish and avocado have never gotten along so well, homemade marinated salmon (the same served at La Cascade restaurant) and fresh jumbo shrimps marvelously pair the macédoine.

Moving on to main courses, go for the squid cooked à la plancha, perfectly cooked, or the crunchy pork belly and mashed celery (Asian nod, you get it).

And there is no meal without a dessert, beautifully wrap it up with the exquisite strawberry soup served with some vanilla ice cream, or the famous rum baba with amber rum from Martinique.

At L’Auberge, you do not see how quick time flies: children heartily, run in the gardens under the staff’s benevolence, friends stand up to sing “Happy Birthday” whilst some patrons ask for the necessary parasols once the sun comes out and shines too hard. The afternoon has already been on the go so much that you do not see why you should go and walk in the neighborhood green spaces.
