Blossom is aptly named. This chic & nature restaurant of Sofitel le Faubourg is named after the atrium, a flowered heaven in the heart of Paris. In this haven of freshness with apple trees on the walls and zen-inspired fountains, chefs finish convincing us of the benefits of vegetables in colorful salads.
Behind the stove, chef Alexandre Auger and female pastry chef Shereen Khelif, both present since Yannick Alléno’s time and his Stay restaurant!
They are really proud to highlight (organic) vegetables in their dishes. Without turning into a vegetarian restaurant, chefs wish to pay tribute to fruits and vegetables that are often limited as side dishes. Flavors and scents joyfully bring up a healthy menu: green asparagus are highlighted thanks to a mango-blackcurrant vinaigrette, melon is served as a chill cream soup and beetroots are squeezed for fresh juices… so much that the menu features women dressed in chilly dresses.
The “Tout-Vert” salad is delicious, you can eat it with your eyes closed, enjoy its Romanesco, kale, broccoli, edamame and pistachios. The “Tout-Jaune” salad features bulgur, cauliflower, chickpea, orange and almonds and is more substantial. Without forgetting fruit juices, organic cold-pressed elixirs and wines!
When it comes to more traditional dishes, the Blossom plays along the country-style inspiration where the ingredients flavors are the main feature. Sea bream, raw-cooked cabbage, salmon with almonds and seeds, spinach and herb pesto, poultry and sweet potato chips cooked in coconut oil are also served on the menu.
With this beautiful menu, we could think the restaurant is the perfect place for vegan gourmets obsessed with their figures, but not at all! It’s just that fruits and vegetables can be enough and recipes are both delicious and energy-giving.
By the way, here is a secret. We loved the desserts: a salad with berries and muesli, a rum baba and surprising ice creams flavored with blackcurrant or buckwheat, you won’t find them anywhere else!
The Blossom is the perfect place for business meetings, friendly reunions or relaxing moments after a shopping spree at the Faubourg Saint-Honoré!
