Blossom is the chic restaurant of Sofitel le Faubourg set in Paris 8th arrondissement, close to the Champs-Elysées. The place enjoys a dining room, but also a lovely hidden patio between the hotel walls, shadow and greenery.

For the public reopening, Blossom has decided to treat themselves to a new chef, Anais Foray who chose to serve a chic and nature menu, but not quite. To be precise, Foray is the new executive chef but has been working at Blossom since 2015, where she rose to the top.

So, for her first menuAnaïs Foray bets on chic and it perfectly matches the setting and nature. The menu is short on purpose: 4 starters, 5 main courses and daily specials, 4 desserts and coffee with desserts.

As a starter, she serves burrata, vitello tonnato and salmon tartare craftily thought up and seasoned with green papaya, cilantro and pomegranate.

In the summerBlossom menu features two hearty poke bowls: one being vegetarian, the other with salmon. There is also the salmon tartare with lime available as a starter. Cold dishes rub shoulder with beef hanger steak, and John Dory. The day we came, the daily special was king prawns served with risotto-style wheat.

The food was flavorful, flawless. The chef also grows aromatic plantssmall vegetables and a few flowers she uses in her plating.

This season, as desserts, strawberry, apricot and praline tarts are available.

But before you go have a meal at Blossom, how about enjoying the "D'or et de lumière" dress exhibition the hotel houses, or enjoy a pre-dinner drink on the terrace? Or perhaps both?
