In 2017, the long-awaited The Hoxton hotel from the British chain of the same name arrived in Paris. Today, the boutique-hotel is never empty, and neither is its restaurant Rivié, a charming trendy neo-brasserie!

Following on from London and Amsterdam, the chic, British hotel The Hoxton opened its doors in 2017 in the heart of Paris, in a former 18th-century mansion - listed as a Monuments Historiques, if you please!

Within the boutique hotel, tourists and local gourmets alike can enjoy the trendy Rivié restaurant, which serves modern, refined cuisine .

In a neat and elegant setting, with its verdant inner courtyard, the restaurant opens its doors to us. The menu features dishes prepared with local produce in the beautiful open kitchen .

The varied menu includes a number of dishes to share, for maximum conviviality: Borlotti bean hummus, padron peppers, pickled cucumber, grilled lamb belly...

Five starters follow. The choice is difficult, but we fall for the artichoke salad (10€), surprisingly crunchy and ultra-fresh; and the beef tartare (13€) with kaffir pesto, red onions and egg yolk. We highly recommend it!

We continue with more than successful dishes: the ultra-light fish & chips (20€) - thanks to the nori tempura and yuzu tartar sauce! and the absolutely divine, melt-in-your-mouth saddle of lamb (26€), which we happily devour with spelt, asparagus, peas and a delicious red bell pepper and coconut cream.

To end on a sweet note, let yourself be tempted by the unstructured strawberry and lychee tart (9€) and its lychee-coconut sorbet, and by the successful summer peach and basil dessert (9€).

Well-executed and generous, Rivié 's cuisine has nothing to envy from the palaces! The same goes for breakfast, which we also had the opportunity to try!

In the morning, the menu is healthy and vitamin-packed, with fresh fruit juices, avocado toast (€14), granola, banana-chocolate pancakes and traditional eggs Benedicte with a punchy yuzu hollandaise sauce.
