Freshly renovated in last May by Tom Dixon, Champs-Elysées Drugstore puts on a great spread for the holidays. Starting with Thanksgiving taking place this year on Thursday November 23. To honor this great American celebration, chef Eric Frechon cooked us a menu especially created for the occasion.
On the menu that night, corn dumplings followed by a pumpkin soup with roast chestnuts and hazelnuts sprinklers to whet your appetite. Then, make way to the traditional stuffed free-range turkey roasted in a pot and served with mashed sweet potatoes with foie gras, the whole basted with roast juice.
Festivities wouldn’t be complete without the oh-so traditional Pecan Pie that ends this copious meal on a sweet and a tad regressive note.
To top it all, the chef chose a selection of Francis Ford Coppola Winery wines coming from the famous American movie-director’s wine estate. In terms of music, some oldies but goldies made in USA hit tracks for a total immersion in Uncle Sam’s country.
