14 Paradis, here’s the name of the new bistronomic restaurant nestled in the 10th arrondissement of the French capital that you should discover without a second thought! Behind this place, we find the very friendly and successful duo with Hugo Pinto and Alexandre Ney.

For all those who fell in love with the bistronomic cuisine served by the Miam restaurant in Paris 8th arrondissement, you now have to go to the 10th arrondissement to discover the new gourmet baby thought up by duo Hugo Pinto and Alexandre Ney.

For this new project, the two buddies decided to settle in rue de Paradis, always changing with its young and trendy bars and restaurants.

Nestled at 14 rue du Paradis, the name is perfect for the place that offers the neighborhood a new HQ for all homemade dishes lovers since they’re creative, tasty and generous, based on fresh and seasonal products.

Next to the famous Ours bar, 14 Paradis displays a lovely façade with large bay windows that let the light in on the two stories of the establishment with a very modern decorum.

Here, blue is everywhere, whether it’s a navy blue or a royal blue, guests are immersed in a cozy and warm atmosphere.

The most connoisseurs will notice the reedition of the “mouche” [fly] wall lights by Pierre Chareau, the metal handrail coming straight from Le France paquebot or these pictures by Slim Aarons.

The bonus? This aureole under which patrons can take picture of themselves and think they’re angels!

If the very friendly and smiling Alexandre Ney takes care of the room, in the kitchen, we can find the talented chef Hugo Pinto. The story of theses two friends and associates starts when the both of them worked at the famous 5-star Parisian hotel, Pershing-Hall.

After being trained alongside Michel Troisgros at La Table du Lancaster, and worked for famous places (the Eiffel Tower restaurant with chef Alain Reix, Cyril Lignac’s Le Quinzième where he becomes his sous-chef), Hugo Pinto now works as the chef of his own restaurant and offers a bistronomic cuisine twisted with Mediterranean touches.

The menu is very mouth-watering, eclectic and always changing. It offers 8 starters (from €11 to €14), 9 main courses (from €16 to €24) and 6 desserts (from €8 to €11).

In terms of starters, the many choices eye at me such as the mini roasted camembert with honey and its sucrine salad, or this sea bream tartare and its avruga caviar pearls but I ultimately go for the excellent organic crispy and soft-boiled egg with its corn flakes and bell peppers!

My partner in crime goes for the place’s major starter, the famous salmon New Style: sashimi cooked with sesame oil and flavored with lemon and cilantro. An original and tangy starter like we’d like to discover more often!

The tasting continues with, as for me, a signature dish, a pan-fried tuna – perfectly cooked – with its smooth avocado cream and its incredible vodka-lemon foam. What a delight!

But there’s also the pork cheeks with mild spices and its mashed carrots that will please carnivores.

For the rest, we can name the lamb saddle or the beautiful sea bream with its pumpkin and kumquat puree.

For vegetarians, you can choose the plate of vegetables cooked with market’s products and an Italian temptation with the Penne and truffle cream.

Finally, you can’t leave the place without having one of the 6 desserts of the menu.

We hesitate between the “Brioche retrouvée”, a sophisticated version of the French toast with caramelized pears and salted butter caramel, or the Homemade Mont Blanc, but we finally go for the sensational cheesecake mousse with its cherry sorbet and its delicious and smooth Guanaja 70% chocolate lava cake, flawlessly cooked, and its pistachio ice cream. These two desserts are definitely our go-to!

We couldn’t end this sublime meal better since we discovered new flavors and our taste buds are not likely to forget them any time soon!

Please note that at lunchtime, guests can have a more affordable set menu with a lunch menu for €16 including a starter, a main course and a dessert, that changes daily.

To accompany these delicious and very good-looking dishes, 14 Paradis has a nice wine list with a selection of natural wines.

Lovers of sophisticated beverages won’t be left out thanks to a cocktail list that highlights the greatest classics.
