Here’s a restaurant that French President, Emmanuel Macron, might love…. In full heart of Paris 2nd arrondissement, Les Petits Rolls de Paris offers lovers of regressive dishes a revisit of cordons bleus in the shape of rolls. After a long trip to the USA, François and Marie, the two managers of the place, got the idea to revisit this dish, we loved as children.
A spot that looks like a coffee shop and open non-stop from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. so that you can come for lunch or dinner or a quick break, offering varied roll recipes you can eat on the spot or on the go or at the office: classic cordon bleu, beef and vegetables rolls, raclette rolls, vegetarian rolls… Foodistas will have the choice and everything is homemade with local products. If you still feel hungry, starters and desserts are also available: coleslaw, seasonal mashed vegetables, French fries, mac’n cheese, brioches stuffed with toppings of your choice… You can create a lovely meal.
Recipes the editorial board has been lucky enough to tasted, and obviously we loved “L’Original”, the classic cordon bleu roll that reminds us the flavors of our childhood or the “Un Indien dans la ville” with exotic Tandoori flavors. We particularly enjoy the homemade Comté cheese cream and “Fi’loute” a very delicious brioche. And beyond the cuisine, the welcome is always warm, Marie and François taking the time to know their patrons no matter if they are regulars or not. A small extra attention that makes this visit an even more delightful moment.
