Fans of fine Italian cuisine head to Little Nonna, a restaurant in the 17th arrondissement of Paris offering recipes taken from the old grimoires of chef Marco Casali's grandmother. And since it's gluten-free, it's sure to please everyone.

Eat well and healthy, gluten-free, in an Italian restaurant...? It's possible at Little Nonna, a gluten-free canteen serving authentic Italian cuisine in the 17th arrondissement. Pizza, pasta, charcuterie boards, Stracciatella, Bruschetta and other antipasti... A little ray of Italian sunshine in the heart of the capital.

Marco loves his "nonna" ("grandma" in Italian) so much that he's built his menu around her recipes and the love she put into them when she was cooking. And like his grandmother, the chef takes great care to offer healthy dishes, selecting organic produce from small-scale producers, while favoring short distribution channels. The pizza dough is homemade by hand, as are the pasta, gnocchi, bread and focaccia. We particularly like the Dolce Vita pizza, with its mouth-watering, well-balanced dough, as well as the Lobster Linguine, served in a pan, al dente and fragrant.

Gluten-free preparations to offer an alternative to wheat flour and support customers in their "eat better" approach. The chef conducted numerous tests to replace wheat without altering his "nonna's" recipe, and found the solution: Molino della Giovanna flour, which he brings in from Piacenza in Lombardy. A blend of corn flour, wholegrain rice, semi-complete rice and buckwheat, for a soft, melt-in-the-mouth pizza dough.

For the fresh pasta, the chef opted for Le Veneziane corn flour, for excellent baking properties. As for desserts, Maison Foucade supplies the delicacies, as selected by chef Marco Casali. This does not prevent the Italian chef from offering his own desserts, always 100% Gluten Free. Even the juices are homemade: nectars, smoothies and other syrups are from Maison Meneau.

And forAperitivo lovers, the house also offers a whole selection of appetizers to accompany your glass of wine, your Spritz or other cocktail : succulent parma ham plank, scallop carpaccio, PDO buffalo mozzarella or spicy pizza to share are all dishes that tickle the taste buds of gourmets. The Spritz is particularly good and well-balanced. Whenever you're ready, folks!

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
