Beaupassage, the new spot devoted to gastronomy and wellness

From August 25, 2018, Beaupassage, an exceptional place combining gastronomy, vegetal art and wellness, opens in the heart of Paris 7th arrondissement. Restaurant and wine cellar by Yannick Alleno, Daily Pic by Anne-Sophie Pic, gourmet lounge by Pierre Hermé, bakery by Thierry Marx and even street seafood by Olivier Bellin and Fromagerie Barthélémy, we’ll love to wander around and spend time there!

Beaupassage is the name of the new food and wellness temple opening later this August 2018. Initiated by Emerige real estate group, this spot is set in the passage that links rue de Grenelle to rue du Bac and boulevard Raspail. Instead of creating a 60-flat private residence, Emerige has decided to turn the 10,000-sqm inner courtyard into a shopping arcade with green areas and beautiful living places!

Beaupassage is described as a place fit for wandering around, an open-air passage inviting walkers and curious to live a sweet break far from the city’s hustle and bustle. Art works and installations, tree and plant-filled areas, wellness and love of good food are the ingredients of this new place we can’t wait to discover.

Allénothèque

Within Beaupassage, Yannic Alléno and his wife Laurence offer a chic, unique, friendly, open, transversal and demanding place brilliantly gathering and on three levels, a restaurant, a wine cellar and an art gallery. Covering 550 sqm, the restaurant features 50 places with a view to the kitchen and 60 seats on the terrace + 10 for the chef’s table. The basement gathers some 700 French and international references. The idea is to select one or several bottles to take away or to be enjoyed on the spot in the restaurant. Every month, masterclasses will enable some passionate people to discover oenology.

Champion Spirit Rive Gauche by Abdoulaye Fadiga

Champion Spirit’s credo? Making people who’ve never practiced sport like sport! It’s no mean feat. World champion, top fitness trainer, Abdoulaye Fadiga is a renown figure for performance in France and abroad. Beaupassage will be his third spot. At the inferior level, you’ll find a muscle-development set, an approved boxing ring, an athletics track. On the ground floor: a social club pierced by a fist sculpture by Richard Orlinsky, a concept-store, a coffee & muesli bar in the morning, a sauna and finally, a space housing a treatment setting and personalized Biologique Recherche booths. On the first floor, it’s all about yoga with a collective class, Pilates, saber and fencing classes. you’ll find the best of the National Institute for Sports, Expertise and Performance (INSEP)’s sport medical teams.

Gourmet lounge by Pierre Hermé

Uncontested figure in pastry on the global scale, Pierre Hermé signs his first café at Beaupassage. A café by Laura Gonzales that will also feature a terrace. You’ll love to have a seat in this new temple of love of goof food that gathers a boudoir and a large central bar. Open all day long, you can go and have breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack or come for a pre-dinner drink. Ispahan croissants, delicious grilled-cheeses and the famous macarons are all yours.

A bakery by Thierry Marx

At Beaupassage, Thierry Marx opens his second bakery, after the one in rue Laborde. In this place, you can buy your baguette but not only: we believe in ethical value, a program. The flour is organic, growers and millers are thoroughly selected, and the dough is worked traditionally. Also, the house emblematic baguette is called “La Loyale”. Loyalty to his clients, suppliers, coworkers: Thierry Marx’s fundamental belief. More than a price, this baguette has a value. Viennoiseries, pastries and street food will be on the menu of this new spot for wonderful gourmet breaks.

Daily Pic by Anne-Sophie Pic

Daily Pic is famous 3-Michelin star French chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s gourmet canteen. This spot gives pride of place to love of good food on a daily basis. Artisan of the fast casual, Anne-Sophie Pic always changes her offering. Menus are filled with classic, creative and vegan dishes change with seasons, days and inspirations: the essential being to eat well on a daily basis. There are already iconic dishes such as the marinated rose shrimps, Granny Smith apple and celery, the ravioli from Royans with Roquefort and spinach and even the pollock with Madras curry, coconut and venere rice. To the savory offers is added the sweet offer, obviously carried on by the same jars and exploring the paths of love of good food.

Mersea, street seafood restaurant

Two-star Breton chef Olivier Bellin opens a street seafood restaurant. A place rhymes with freshness, love of good food and originality. For example, you can stuff your face with Fish&Chips Dentelle with pearly pollack with a light and crispy breadcrumb coating. Served on the terrace or on the first floor, the ground floor featured a cocktail tasting bar and a gin bar as well as a catering area and a delicatessen, where you can grab homemade fresh seafood products or from collaborations such as the MERSEA craft beer brewed in Picardy.  Every day, on the menu of the restaurant, in addition to the mentioned main dish, we find about a dozen starters and as many seasonal main courses, such as the M in Balck Burger, Cardinal Homard, Club Tataki with tuna, cod ceviche, sea salad. A whole range of desserts, regressive classics, such as rice pudding with Tonka bean, the lemon tomato-basil cream or the waffle with homemade Nutella.

Butcher’s shop and restaurant by Alexandre Polmard

After the opening of a store-restaurant in Paris, then in Nancy, Alexandre Polmard – known all around the world – takes over Beaupassage. Covering two stories, the space reinvents the store in Nancy: a butcher’s store with fresh and/or “hibernated” meats and charcuteries on the ground floor with hibernation show-cupboards and glassed-drying racks, restaurant on the first floor with a menu including beef at 90%. Downstairs, the famous Italian tartares, and ginger or 2Polmard, the legendary prime rib of beef, the dry sausages and the beef rillettes, the country-style pâtés, the festive terrines. Above, some medium-rare meat to nibble on.

%Arabica, coffee roaster and coffee bar by Junichi Yamaguchi

%Arabica is the Japanese brand of special coffee bars represented by Junichi Yamaguchi, artisan barista and Latte Art world Champion. In this place covering 100-sqm, fitted by Japanese architecture studio Onndo, to which is added a 55-sqm terrace, we can enjoy unique special coffees, from the best south-American and African terroirs. True temple of coffee, it’s a friendly and clean experiential space, bringing a serene break to the city’s hustle and bustle, like a ryokan in Kyoto.

Just next to it, as a neighboor, Fromagerie Barthélémy

The most famous Parisian cheese-maker is coming at the edge of Beaupassage. It’s going to be 50 years since Maison Barthélém goes on French countryside to bring the best farm cheese including goat’s cheese from Tarn – to be enjoyed in the summer – to the aged Salers Cantal cheese and the Beaufort cheese without forgetting the famous Vacherin Mont-d’or cheese in the winter, we eat by the spoon, the camembert from Calvados, the saint-marcellin with grape marc, the gaperon with garlic or the light Fontainebleau cheese. The best of cheese awaits you very soon.

If the opening of Beaupassage was said to be on June 21, 2018, works have been delayed in some restaurants and now, the official opening is planned on August 25, 2018 when everything will be finished for the ultimate experience!

We have been lucky to discover the place before everyone else and it's quite impressive. We feel cut from the outter world, a bit like in a sunny corner of paradise where gastronomy and love of good food are queens (well, you better have a heavy wallet and a solid appetite to make the best of it).

Beaupassage is like the French gastronomy, generous and qualitative. Each talent is represented, from the top chef to the butcher or the cheese maker, to offer us the best.

In other words, we can’t wait to discover Beaupassage!
