Shang Palace is THE reference in terms of Chinese gastronomy in Paris. Only Chinese Michelin-starred restaurant in France, this is a genuine institution for Cantonese cuisine fans. Set within Shangri-La Paris, this gourmet restaurant has it all. Did you miss the restaurant, or have you always wanted to discover it? You are expected since September 1, 2021.
On the occasion, Chef Samuel Lee has decided to review his propositions. For lunch, a Dim Sum menu, a Lunch menu for €58, and a Tasting Menu for €78 are served in addition to off-the-menu dishes.
Discover the organic pulled chicken salad and spicy sesame vinaigrette, the Ha Kao, Siu Mai, Rubis bites, Scallops & shrimp bite, the daily special wok, or the Chef’s fried rice.
As for dinner, the chef serves wonderful novelties such as Wonton Soup, or Black Angus, an iconic dish based on Hua Diao wine, and very tender beef, served with pan-fried kale. A recipe both light and aromatic for a total immersion opening a genuine window onto Asia in the very heart of Paris. But you are free to choose from the 60 dishes served off-the-menu for even more tasty discoveries.
Shang Palace and Samuel Lee’s cooking are the perfect blend of traditional dishes and original ingredients. Always trying to improve himself, the chef proposes revisited dishes such as the exquisite “Poulet du mendiant” to order 48 hours prior to your visit. Enjoy this poultry baked in a clay crust and stuffed with mushrooms, absolutely delicious.
Wine pairing fan? You will be over the moon! Shang Palace offers to pair the best of authentic Cantonese cuisine with the greatest French wines from every region. Therefore, Shang Palace’s delicious cooking can be paired with rosé wine from Cuvée d’Esclans, or a bottle from a historic Bordeaux estate. A wonderful selection of Bordeaux wines for a soft price, such as the Château l’Evangile or Mission Haut-Brion are waiting for you.
Tea enthusiasts? You will love the restaurant’s selection. Enjoy propositions such as vintage Pu’Erh with a roast-like taste, the light and refreshing Tie Guan Yin, or the delicate Gunpowder green tea that will wonderfully pair Dim Sum. The sommelier team will be delighted to help you choose the perfect tea pairing if you wish.
Please note the restaurant opens from Thursday to Monday from noon to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner.
