Hong Kong gastronomy in the spotlight! Shang Palace, a Michelin-starred restaurant at the Shangri-La Hôtel Paris and the capital's only Cantonese gourmet restaurant, is offering a week centered around Hong Kong cuisine from September 17 to 28, 2018. A week during which lovers of exotic dishes will be able to discover specialties from this Chinese administrative region thanks to a chef who has come expressly for the occasion, Mok Kit Keung.

Over the course of ten days, this Chef, renowned for his eye for the product, is tasked with introducing gourmets to all the refinement and flavors of Hong Kong cuisine. Crispy chicken sliced with foie gras, barbecued duck with flaxseed, shredded chicken with jellyfish, sautéed lobster and conch on a skewer of seasonal vegetables and black truffle... A menu that the editorial team had the honor of testing, and loved... All the dishes on offer are of a rare finesse and extremely well-balanced. Special mention must go to the crispy Taro with scallops and caviar in Portuguese sauce. The crab, zucchini and mushroom soup, the blue lobster sautéed with goji berries and the Wagyu beef are also very tasty and brightened up our straws. In short, you can go there with your eyes closed.

A culinary change of scenery that ends on a high note with the Shang Palace's Treasure of Three Sweets. A way of celebrating Hong Kong and its gastronomy, as well as allowing Parisians and other food lovers to travel without spending a fortune on plane tickets. Are we in for a treat, folks?

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
