None of the 13 Fuxia Parisian restaurants looks like the others. In each restaurant, the size, the atmosphere and the menu change.
To discover the brand, we went to Fuxia down the rue des Martyrs, a middle-sized restaurant without a delicatessen corner (unlike the others), nor pizza oven (some Fuxia restaurants have one), that is quite noisy but very nice.
The menu providing Italian dishes is very rich: antipasti, salads, charcuterie and cheese boards, lots of pasta (including several recipes of lasagnas and raviolis), risotto, meats and fishes, without forgetting desserts. On the menu that gives pride of place to Italian cuisine classics, are added the dishes of the day on the board.
It’s very hard to choose. As a starter, we go for several antipasti to share. Ham is very god, fried scampis have a very fine and not too fat dough, it’s very pleasant. As for the mozzarella sticks, the breadcrumb coating is very thin and crispy, these fritters are not oily. How great!
Next, after hesitating for a very long time, we go for the pasta of the day: penne Romana with cream, snow peas, mushrooms and grilled ham. A fantastic idea that is to grill ham, it brings some crisp to this very tasty dish served in very generous portion.
As for the dish menu, the wine list is very large. We enjoy the meal with Proseco. Once again, Fuxia cellar included several references in stock.
Honorable mention for the sourdough bread that is so good we could eat it even if we’re not hungry.
You get it now, we really enjoyed ourselves at Fuxia and we couldn’t recommend it too much, you have to discover this restaurant if you don’t know it yet.
