Bruce, that’s the name of the latest Asian restaurant-bar set in Paris 10th arrondissement, rue des Petites Ecuries. A Gucci-like decoration but laid-back, an exotic Asian cuisine and a bar with great cocktails, let’s run and discover this rocking spot.

When we say Bruce, you think about Bruce Lee, right? It’s a nod but it’s not the origin of the restaurant recently open by Vincent and Nghia in Paris 10th arrondissement.

Rumor has it that Bruce was a renown Mafiosi whose clandestine table was very coveted. After playing all their savings, Vincent and Nghia are now condemned to work for him in his Asian restaurant and cocktail bar.

Well, we’re not going to complain since, honestly, it’s delicious. You’ve got to know that these two buddies are not newcomers. After W FOR WOK and GOKU Asian Canteen, who got awarded Best Burger 2017, here’s a new challenge the friends have to face up.

Let’s run on the spot and discover this restaurant and bar with a terrace entirely open every day. A big bar with blue earthenware faces us. In the room – just to say that Bruce was inspired by a pair of Gucci glasses, black and gold perfectly blend with the wooden furniture and the raw walls give a both chic and cool look.

On the menu, dishes from all over China, sometimes twisted to surprise us. Discover for instance the delicious Viet gazpacho as fresh as surprising, or the Japanese burrata with Sancho pepper, grilled nori seaweed and rice chips.

The day we came, we went for the Thai beef tartare with fresh herbs and homemade spicy sauce, subtle and tasty and the loc lac chicken mixing crispy chicken, tomato rice and sunny-side-up egg.

We end the meal with a nice smooth chocolate cake and matcha whipped cream for a change.

Thai, Korean, Japanese, the menu makes us travel and we gladly go for all these exotic flavors.

For lunch, the restaurant serves a short and fast menu while for dinner, the place turns into a bar with exotic tapas to share.

Bruce bar offers us a beautiful homemade cocktail list. From the Sax Faces win gin, lime, lavender and pineapple juice to the Blue Elephant with rum, lime, mint, tonic and blue pae syrup, it’s delicious and tempting.
