From June 3 to September 13, the Lunch Menu of Le Burgundy Patio – created by chef Guillaume Goupil – becomes the Menu Vallauris in tribute to the city that welcomed Picasso in the 50’s. Piperade, sun vegetables, fishes, irresistible South-western recipes will be revisited by the chef, served with the creations of Pastry Chef Pascal Hainigue with lavender, thyme and other southern flavors.
Le Burgundy Patio reinterprets the famous painter’s know-how who settled in this small city on the Riviera to work ceramics, helped by art dealer Florian Daguet Bresson who created for the Patio, a collection of unique pieces of all kinds, all by Robert Picault, Pablo Picasso’s friend.
Vases, pots, plates and other cups, each piece have been bargain-hunted in France and Europe by Florian Daguet Bresson who signs here his first creation for the hotel. These pieces are not only decorative since they’ll be used to enhance chef Guillaume Goupil’s cuisine.
To complete this atmosphere, Florian Daguet Bresson has initiated a collaboration with Maison Jules Pansu, the only weaver house in the world to have the right to recreate paintings by Picasso and Miro on textile. Furniture will also be in the Vallauris spirit with marbled tables by architect Patrick Juliot, copper furniture by artist Pierre Chevalier and even water glasses by La Verrerie de Biot, a French house set a few kilometers from Vallauris.
The occasion to enjoy a travel through time and to the Riviera…
