Brasserie Le Sarah Bernhardt got a makeover and a breath of the Belle Epoque blows again on the Place du Châtelet. Time seems to have stopped in the late 19th century or early 20th century.
Once you’ve passed the elegant veranda, you discover chiseled mirrors, impressive chandeliers, Second Empire style lights, dark and elegant bench seats and the beautiful raw and period wood staircase with wrought iron scrolls.
Here, flowers, feathers and warm colors have their spot and the lovely terrazzo mosaic mural dresses the walls and the floors of the brasserie.
On the sunny terrace, under the veranda or inside the restaurant, enjoy nice little brasserie dishes: sautéed veal casserole, whole roasted bream or andouillette AAAAA, Le Sarah Bernhardt serves a simple cuisine non-stop, homemade and based on fresh ingredients. There even are vegetarian and gluten-free dishes for those who are concerned.
As for drinks, go for the many classics: Americano, Gin Fizz, Ice Folie’s or Champagne Pick Me Up, in short or long drink version and some creations.
A lively and authentic, chic and popular place to try after a night at the theater!
