New in September: L’Abbatoir Végétal opens its first table on the left bank. On the menu, green plates to share, vegan cocktails and plant-based drinks as well as vegan pastries to treat yourself all day long.

For over a year now, L’Abattoir Végétal has been treating Paris 18th arrondissement locals (and others) well! Created by Ava Farhang and set in a former butcher’s shop in Paris 18th arrondissement, this coffee shop provides colorful plates and tasty drinks.

Big news for left bank inhabitants, L’Abattoir Végétal has arrived a few weeks ago set a stone's throw from Marché Saint-Germain and Castel!

Open from noon to midnight non-stop, this second address makes gourmands' and foodies' taste buds happy once they've come in.

Covering two stories, La Table will serve plant on plates as well as in your glasses with vegan cocktails! Go for one of the mocktails on the menu, such as the Kahlo (pineapple, cilantro, agave, lime), you'll be full of beans!

For lunch, you can have the set-menu of the week for a very small price (€19 or €24 for the complete one), with two starters, two main courses and two desserts. Among them, we have a choice already available à la carte and a tasty creation that is completely unique.

Or, you get it, you cna choose à la carte and among its many plates to share. Here are some of the plates available just to make you drool: Shakshuka (€14), cauliflower tabbouleh (€12), roasted mini eggplants (€11), teryaki tofu skewers (€9)...

Note that most of the dishes are vegetarian and you can add more ingredients (some cheese for instance) as sides.

As for us, we went for the fresh and delicious beetroot and cashew nut hummus (€8) and the Baba Ganoush (€7.5) with perfectly seasoned eggplant caviar.

Both our starters were decorated here and there with lovely pansies for the colorful and bucolic character, of course, but also to season the radish sprouts!

Then, we enjoyed our main courses, on one side gluten-free gnocchis with broccoli pesto and fresh snow peas (€15), on the other side the Khao Phad Sapparod (€19), pan-seared fried rice, soy and red bell pepper plated in a pineapple cut in two for sweet and savory lovers!

Unfortunately we couldn't eat desserts so much our dishes were hearty. Yet, we would have loved one of the vegan pastries available all day long, such as the roasted brioche and nectarine (€9) or the fresh figs. It will be for another time!

L'Abattoir Végétal is THE good table to take care of yourself while enjoying some good food.
