Near Marché Saint-Germain has just opened a brand-new table. Called Mordu, it serves small plates to share, nice meat dishes and creation cocktails to enjoy on the nice and green terrace.

Nestled North-East of Marché Saint-Germain, a new table is now welcoming foodies and gourmands. Called Mordu, this new elegant restaurant is a delight for the eyes and the taste buds.

Designed by indoor designer Elodie Tornare, the décor has been created in sienna color and green. A large brass chandelier, wooden tables, leathered bench seats and light net curtain complete the picture. The spot revolves around three places: the wine and cocktail bar, the restaurant and the beautiful and green terrace under the arches of the market.

In the kitchen, chef Baptiste Trudel (ex Yard) works with seasonal, quality ingredients that are very-well sourced: beef Cecina, Corsican DPO charcuterie or tomme aux fleurs from Maison Sanders. It’s simple, here, everything’s homemade, even the ice ceams!

On the menu, Mordu provides a whole bunch of small plates, 15 to be precise, to share with guests: apricot and pork terrine with spinach and wild curry, fried eggplant, ponzu dressing, grated egg yolks and watercress strips; lemongrass beef tartare topped with puff rice chips; grilled pork trotter and smoked eel, cucumber pickles and lovage; red mullet ceviche, feta cream pudding and cherry pickles or even minute made flat bread with melted cheddar and summer truffle.

To complete these small dishes, Mordu provides 4 to 5 hearty dishes giving pride of place to meat such as the veal chop, 1kg prime rib of beef, flank steak served with salsa verde or veal fillet with French beans and taramasalata.

As for desserts, we go for the chocolate and pepper ganache, hazelnut and sea salt caramel crumble or the unique homemade sorbets (cherry/tarragon, rhubarb/cardamom, strawberry/pepper…).

Moving on to drinks, Mordu offers no fewer than 150 wine references by the bottle, small gems from very great vintages and nature wines, as well as interesting cocktails created by Johann Bouard. All in all, 8 creation cocktails, the occasion to toast in an original way with friends.

The perfect address to try this summer!
