Crêperie based in Paris 15th arrondissement near Porte de Versailles, L’Authentique Bretonne gives pride of place to Breton flavors with buckwheat pancakes, crepes and cider on the menu, the whole served in a 100% made in Breizh decor.

L’Authentique Bretonne is a small crepe eatery in the 15th arrondissement by the Parc des expositions de la Porte de Versailles not far from the Parc Georges Brassens and the Convention area.

L’Authentique Bretonne features 15 tables including 2 on the terrace. And we can say the restaurant - entirely decorated with Brittany and sea-inspired items - is quickly crowded and we highly recomment you book a seat.

Breton specialties are served such as buckwheat pancakes, crepes, cider and Breton kir of course.Buckwheat pancakes by L'Authentique Bretonne are all named with one word (Auvergnat with its blue cheese from Auvergne, Biquette with goat's cheese, Fromagère with raclette cheese, Guéméné with andouille de Guéméné, Nordique with smoked salmon...) and they are softer and smoother. To these fifteen menu, every day, a crepe is added to the blackboard, filled with emmental, smoked salmon, old-fashioned mustard cream and herbs the day we came. It was a delicious creation.

Moving on to dessert, classic wheat crepes (sugar-butter, butter-lemon, red berry coulis, jam, homemade salted butter caramel...) rub shoulder with about fifteen specialties twisted with Carribean flavors (flambéed bananas, desiccated coconut and even rum-raisin ice cream). The Mieleuse with honey, speculoos chunks and vanilla ice cream allows us to finish this meal on a very sweet note.

L’Authentique Bretonne has been created by Marion who was born in Morlaix, northern Finistère. This thirty-year-old woman is the founder of the creperie and she’s actually the one working behind the crepe maker.

The buckwheat pancakes (savory) served at L’Authentique Bretonne are 100% made with buckwheat and then gluten-free. For dessert, you can replace the authentic crepes (sweet) with them if you don’t eat gluten.

L’Authentique Bretonne also provides homemade smoothies. Ingredients used for the recipes on the menu come from French terroirs and many of them come from Brittany of course such as the Breton butter (with salt, of course), the andouille de Guéméné and even IGP Breton cider.

Monday to Friday, the crêperie provides three set menus from €10.90 to €17.90. On the menu, special buckwheat pancakes cost between €8.50 and €11.50. As for the classic wheat crepes, the special ones cost between €7.50 and €9. And we can say that this creperie is very cheap. 

A Thursday per month, L’Authentique Bretonne houses a themed conference to feed your mind and your body.
