Following in the footsteps of its fabulous sharing plates and stunning cocktails, Les Françaises restaurant unveils its brand new brunch. We'll love it!

Don't know where to have brunch on Sunday? Without hesitation, go to Les Françaises! The 17th arrondissement restaurant has just launched a brand new brunch formula, and let us tell you, our taste buds still remember it.

It's hardly surprising, since we've already loved the spot's small plates to share and its fabulous cocktails, and Les Françaises' brunch is in the same vein: generous and tasty. Quite simply, it was a treat!

On a paper menu, we were invited to tick off whatever we fancied. For a very reasonable price (€32), you're treated to a bevy of goodies that will delight the gourmets in you.

As for drinks, you can choose between orange juice, grapefruit juice and a weekend detox juice (on our visit: watermelon, basil, lemon, a real treat!) and a hot drink (coffee, tea or hot chocolate). Festive eaters can even enhance their brunch with a mimosa, a glass of champagne or a cocktail of the day, for €8.

To take us back to our fond memories of the place, we let ourselves be tempted by the à la carte cocktails. These have changed completely, but retain their badass female names and crazy creativity.

Let yourself be surprised by the Bernadette Soubiroux (calvados, fresh chili, fresh coriander, lime, fever tree tonic; 15€) or the Niki de Saint-Phalle (pisco, dill syrup, mint and pink berries, lime and cider; 12€), our favorite!

Alongside fresh bread, brioche, jams and spreads (homemade, please!), Les Françaises also offers a choice of pain au chocolat or croissant (the essentials of a good French brunch!), and eggs, in various forms.

Choose from delicate scrambled eggs with summer truffles, olive and rosemary muffins with a runny egg or THE cold chakchouka with soft-boiled egg that you absolutely must try!

We continue on the savory side with five very different but all very tasty dishes. On the seafood side, the grass-crusted salmon is truly fabulous and the cod, mango and apricot ceviche is just waiting for you to try it.

On the land (or meat) side, the restaurant (rightly confident in the quality of its carefully sourced products) offers pastrami and smoked turkey in their simplest form, accompanied by relish, a sweet and sour condiment. A real treat. Alternatively, let yourself be tempted by the Label Rouge roast chicken leg with Provence herbs, meaty and tender to perfection.

Looking for a vegetarian dish? Don't worry, you can opt for our feta, zucchini and tomato confit quiche! To top it all off, each dish is accompanied by an arugula salad and your choice of truffled mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.

You thought that was it? Wait until you discover the sweet! For a sweet ending, brunch also includes dessert. So, will you prefer chocolate mousse, panna cotta with seasonal fruit coulis or granola with fresh fruit and fromage blanc? The choice is yours!

One thing's for sure, though, and that's that French women come out with their mouths watering and their bellies full!

Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. Drink in moderation.

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
