You may have seen more brunches that you can even count! Whether it’s hotels, great restaurants and other renown establishments, they now all provide you with this unmissable event between breakfast and lunch. And to leave the beaten tracks (and especially avoid scrambled eggs and other toasts…), let’s meet at Norma, a Sicilian address that smells like sun and set a stone’s throw from the Place de la République. On Sundays, Francesco Lombardo, the creator of the place, invites you to discover his Sicilian Sunday for a break all’italiana full of promises.
A “brunch” tradition that Sicilians know well… not because of the “coffee, scrambled eggs and sweet treats” option but because it gathers the family on Sundays, at the nonna’s, over nice dishes. A convivial aspect that Norma wanted to provide with a 100% Sicilian brunch.
On the menu, we obviously go for a warm beverage and a freshly squeezed juice and we make the best of it to enjoy many Sicilian viennoiseries. Moving on to savory side, the house offers a discovery board including Parmigiana (eggplants and parmesan dish), fennel and orange salad, Cacocciola, Beccafico sardines, verdure grigliate and eggplant caponata. We also go for the magnificent recipe of fresh and homemade pasta by la mamma Concettina or the exquisite petits fours, the Pasticini siciliani.
In other words, the occasion to enjoy a brunch filled with sun and good produces. Ci vediamo alla domenica, friends?
