A stone’s throw from the Sacré Coeur hides between two narrow streets Hôtel Particulier Montmartre. Accessible only via a private way, the beautiful bourgeois style house is nestled in the middle of a green garden, ideal to enjoy sunny days. Its secret location and very quiet setting make of it a place both charming and romantic.
Inside, the place aims at being cozy and polished. The decoration bets on the history of Montmartre and we really feel like being in a family house. Velvet armchairs, dry flowers and copper create a welcoming and warm setting.
It’s in this ideal setting that we can come as a couple of with friends to enjoy a brunch on weekends, especially if we want to take a stroll near the basilica after or before. The brunch menu is based on fresh and quality products and revolves around several courses.
Let’s start with unlimited hot beverages served along with fresh juices and a basket of breads and viennoiseries. We went for a foamy cappuccino served with detox juice based on carrot, orange and ginger.
We carry on with the exquisite scrambled eggs with truffle served with toasted brioche breads and finely seasoned salad.
Moving on to the main course, I went for the pan-seared bluefin tuna and seasonal vegetables as my partner goes for the Black Angus flank steak, chimichurri sauce and served with baby potatoes. We love the chef Louis Ricard’s cuisine that combines the basics of the French cuisine with an Asian twist collected from his travels.
Perfect cooking, delicious sauces and fresh vegetables works in different ways, it’s great. Hotel Particulier Montmartre offers us sustainable and eco-friendly food. Good products (short circuits, seasonal ingredients) and thorough preparation (less waste, limited use of water and green electricity), it’s a green flag for us.
We beautifully end with the beautiful plate of pastries created by André Stevens – former sous chef at Hotel Crillon. Opéra, Tatin tart with flaky pastry and lemon cake create a mouthwatering trio.
