After delighting many Asian cities and more recently the British capital, brand Imperial Treasure is coming to Paris within hôtel La Clef Champs-Elysées, a stone’s throw from the world’s most beautiful avenue.
With 5 Michelin stars (2 stars for the Shanghai restaurant and 1 star for the restaurants in Singapore and Hongkong), Imperial Treasure knows how to make foodies and authentic Chinese gastronomy fans dream.
Here, dishes provided are inspired by the Chaozhou cooking, from the Chaoshan region in the Eastern part of the Guangdong province; and we owe them to Alfred Leung. But what does it mean we have in our plates?
To discover all the plurality of this cooking, we have been gently guided because the menu is very long and rich. First things first, we enjoyed some Iberian pluma covered in honey, very tasty, and several kinds of dumplings: vegetable dumplings and the unmissable Shanghai pork xiaolongbao. And we sipped all the smoking hot broth!
Then, we ate up the imperial Carabinera shrimps cooked in a wok and served with sticky rice, and we put the resistance of our taste buds to the test with some very spicy chicken with Sichuan pepper and cashew nuts. If you like super spicy dishes, this one is for you!
We then go for the lamb with 5 spices presented in a rather fun fashion, in small bites to eat with your fingers. Such a delight. And to finish on a softer and sweeter note, we try the mango cream, pomelo and sago pearls, nice!
Note that Imperial Treasure within hotel La Clef Champs-Elysées opened along with bar Liu Ling where you can enjoy long or short cocktails based on various Asian alcohols!
