Head to the upper Ménilmontant area to discover L'Atelier Fratelli: a nice spot devoted to focaccia. If the name rings a bell, it’s normal, L’Atelier Fratelli was once on rue de la Chine, not far from the new location.
From now on, the former address is the laboratory of L’Atelier Fratelli, while the new spot provides gourmets with a bigger and more comfortable space (including a nice mezzanine!) so that they can enjoy good and freshly cooked things on site or to take away.
But what do we have? Focaccia galore! Here, the famous fleshy and soft Italian bread is king and is enhanced with nice fresh and well-sourced produces. You can choose among 5 recipes:
As for us, we went for the last two recipes and we’ve been delighted by how fresh produces are, how tasty it was and by the very healthy aspect of our lunch!
If you are more into pasta, note that L'Atelier Fratelli provides for the first time in its history fresh and homemade pasta with tasty but mouthwatering recipes (we saw them as they were served to our table neighbors): pasta with truffle, with 4 cheeses, with spinach (vegetarian) and with tomatoes and mozza (vegetarian).
To continue or close our meal beautifully, you can go for one of the fresh salads (burrata and Parma ham; mozza di bufala; and burrata with eggplants) or some dessert like the chocolate-hazelnut tiramisu.
A nice spot, correct prices and great and tasty focaccia, in a nutshell. It’s a big yes for us!
