If you are a street-food “El Guacamole” eatery regular – that opened 6 years ago in Paris 10th arrondissement – then smile, because the team behind this 100% Mexican taqueria has opened a new address in town.
This time, head to Paris 18th arrondissement to discover ACÀ Pigalle. Displaying a resolutely authentic and modern décor, the restaurant unveils an open-plan kitchen in the middle of the room. The occasion to admire taqueros working hard to come up with 100% Mexican recipes: burros, tacos, and quesadillas are given pride of place. Recipes are created by the chef coming from Sonora – northern Mexico – and are based on fresh local produces and spices directly sourced in Mexico.
If you love tacos (based on wheat or corn flour), you can choose among twenty recipes, each more mouthwatering than the last: orange-marinated pork, grilled chicken, chorizo, spicy pull beef, mushrooms, avocado and even black beans with queso… Whether you are a meat-eater or vegetarian, you will find something! We love the “Cochinita Pibil” and its delicious achiote-marinated pork.
And for fish lovers, three surf tacos are on the menu. We highly recommend to blindly taste the squid tacos with queso and green peppers. Really good and spicy!
We also fell in love with the vegetarian burros. Inside this big rolled flatbread, ACÀ managed to delight our taste buds with mushrooms, and more surprising, nopales: that is to say cactus. A hearty and successful recipe topped off with guacamole, salad, black beans, tomatoes and queso.
As for the rest, discover on the menu the unmissable and delicious guacamole (discover the mango version something more original), as well as come camaron ceviche, or the famous nachos.
And if you want to finish on a sweet note, have one of the classics of the Mexican gastronomy: the pastel de tres leches, a tasty and light dessert soaked in milk sauce and topped off with whipped cream and almond slivers.
To accompany these Mexican specialties to enjoy on site or to take away, go for a refreshing frozen margarita or one of the Mexican beers available by the bottle, or even jarritos (fizzy fruit drinks).
More than a simple Mexican-inspired restaurant, ACÀ Pigalle is a place of life where sharing, conviviality and culture are the watchwords. So, ready to travel to Mexico thanks to ACÀ Pigalle?
