Avocateria Bastille, the all-things avocado healthy spot and terrace

After a first spot in the Sentier district, Avocateria settled in May 2020 in Bastille, in a new restaurant located just a step from the rue de la Roquette. An establishment which makes the beautiful part with pancakes... And as always, everything is made with avocados! A place full of delicacies to discover urgently. We tested it, we tell you about it!

Avocado lovers have found their new spot to enjoy good food! After a first restaurant in the heart of the Sentier, Avocateria has settled in the heart of Bastille, a few steps away from the rue de la Roquette. A second restaurant that offers a slightly different menu from its mother house, since in addition to the Avocado Toasts, the house offers you its pancakes just as tasty, for sweet and salty lovers.

A menu that is of course accompanied by an eclectic choice of organic wines, beers and other organic black lattes. In the dining room, three chic and cosy universes are proposed to make you feel at home, in cocooning mode. On the menu, more precisely, we succumb to the"Kiss my Hass", fluffy pancakes accompanied by signature guacamole (or black Guac with vegetable charcoal), pomegranates, red shiso and salad. We also enjoy the"Beirut Lover", fluffy pancakes (or organic sourdough bread), accompanied by zaatar marinated in organic olive oil, Hass avocado, cherry tomatoes, green olives, squash seeds, coriander and salad. And if not, we opt for the new burger of the house, healthy and vegetarian, based on avocados, beets and decorated with some hazelnuts for the lamb's lettuce.

You can also opt for salads, like the"Summer Body", made with mesclun, quinoa, signature guacamole (or black Guac with vegetable charcoal), feta, pomegranates, fresh chopped mint and sesame cream sauce, or the"Sunset Bowl", made with mesclun, quinoa, curry hummus, beet hummus, Hass avocado, cherry tomatoes, green olives, roasted peanuts, fresh coriander and honey-coriander dressing. Note that theAvo Burgers, one of the two burgers ofAvocateria Sentier, is also available in the Bastille restaurant.

As for dessert, we enjoy a good brownie with avocado and peanuts, the lemon cake and the Granola Bowl also present in the other restaurant. And if not, the house also proposes sweet pancakes like the"Sweet Green" (2 fluffy pancakes, smooth avocado-lime cream, organic home-made granola, fresh fruits and honey), the"Crazy Pancakes" (2 fluffy pancakes, home-made 65% crunchy and caramelized cashew butter (the house's signature), avocado-lime coulis and roasted hazelnuts) or the"Healthy Nut' Est Là!"(2 fluffy pancakes, healthy homemade Valrhona chocolate spread and 61% hazelnuts, banana, avocado and roasted hazelnuts).

And many other surprises! A card that we were able to test, in click & collect first of all. We let ourselves be tempted, in dish, by theAvo Burger, a delicious burger with avocado (home-made guacamole) and mesclun. A mixture of interesting flavors, delicate in mouth, ideal for the vegetarians. Then, we tried the Bombay Express, fluffy pancakes with avocado and curry cream, of an unequalled freshness. For dessert, our special mention: the Crazy Pancake, a fluffy pancake with homemade cashew butter and avocado lemon cream for which we succumbed. A surprising and addictive explosion of flavors not to be missed! And if not, we also opt for the Healthy Nut' Est La, a fluffy pancake with homemade Valrhona chocolate spread, and its avocado slices, of course. A treat not to be missed either.

When we returned to the reopening of the terraces, we were also tempted by one of the house burgers, the one composed of avocado and beets. A mix of colors and flavors, sublimated by a brioche burger bun, bringing an additional touch of greediness. On the toast side, we also liked the Bombay Express version, already tried with the fluffy pancakes, offering something lighter, with more texture. And for dessert, the lemon and avocado cream cake, which looks like gingerbread, is a real treat, and the Crazy Pancake, one of the favorite desserts of the editors, always so delicious.

In short, you know where to go for a meal that smells like the sun!
