Délices Lepic, the excellent Chinese canteen in Montmartre

Looking for an affordable and delicious Chinese restaurant? Let us introduce you to Délices Lepic, this super gourmet spot which, as its name suggests, is located on rue Lepic in the 18th arrondissement, a stone's throw from the Moulin Rouge.

This cantine, which looks like a classictakeaway restaurant, is full of surprises. For example, the chef makes fresh noodles in the window on demand, all day long.

To start with, we're tempted by the crispy nems, the baos to be eaten as quickly as possible and the tempura shrimps to be dipped in the sweet and sour sauce.

And, of course, noodles in soup or stir-fried in the wok. Best-off dishes include crispy lemongrass breaded chicken and Peking duck.

Among the soups, we're partial to the excellent, lightly spiced Sichuan beef accompanied by the chef's famous lamen, but the ravioli soup is not to be outdone.
