Do you like Asian and especially Chinese cuisine? How about discovering Yi One, this Chinese restaurant set in Paris 5th arrondissement that has it all. Sibling to Yi Bowl Noodle, Yi One Chinese restaurant has the special feature of serving tasty Chinese pancakes.
These pancakes are known as jianbing in China and come from the North-Eastern part of the country. They are a street food specialty that one can find especially in street eateries. These pancakes are based on mung bean flour and topped with seeds at Yi One. On site or takeaway or delivery, go for the braised beef pancake, the zhajiang pork version, the sausage pancake or the one with fried chicken. You can even ask for an extra cheese serving and adapt the level of spice, from 1 to 3 (1 being a bit spicy, 3 being really spicy).
Add to this some delicious marinated tofu and spicy sauce, fried chicken, and nice Baozis coming in 3 or 6 (pork, chicken or beef) and there you go, off to a feast! Last but not least, for dessert, get kidney bean baozis, sesame pancakes or the dessert of the moment.
Yi One restaurant menu:
As for the room, the sober decoration recalls China and local eateries. Steam baskets set the tone, hanging from the ceiling, and you can see the cooks working hard in the kitchen. Like a canteen, have a seat, without fuss, and enjoy this indulging break.
So, shall we treat ourselves to some delicious homemade Chinese food?
