Quai Ouest 1200, the winter chalet on the Seine in raclette and tartiflette mode, is back!

This winter, Quai Ouest is transformed once again into a winter mountain chalet on the Seine in Paris. Head for Quai Ouest 1200, the hot spot offering a fireplace atmosphere, curling, Mont d'Or, tartiflette and raclette madness, for those with a sweet tooth.

The Quai Ouest restaurant is transforming itself for the2023 winter season, becoming Quai Ouest 1200 and taking on the look and feel of a mountain chalet, offering gourmet dishes rich in cheeses. Savoyard food lovers beware: the huge restaurant, with its breathtaking view over the Seine, offers raclette, tartiflette and Mont d'Or in a mountain atmosphere.

Let's face it, when the cold sets in, finding a spot by the fireplace to enjoy comforting dishes, or even warming up with a mulled wine, becomes not a desire, but a necessity (yes, yes!). And if you're real cheese-addicts like us, raclettes, tartiflettes and Mont d'Or coulants are bound to win you over.

This year's Quai Ouest 1200 is one of the finest mountain restaurants in Paris and the Paris region. The famous restaurant on the Seine, which served up some great barbecues this summer, has adapted and transformed itself, decked out in fir trees, sheepskins, wooden sledges, vintage skis, retro posters and a real log fire.

The menu at Quai Ouest 1200 includes Gratin de macaronis à la crème de champignons à la truffe d'été, Tartiflette aux cèpes and Mont d'Or au four à partager.

We start with a winter drink: Génépi Mule and mulled wine are on the menu.

It's true that tartiflettes and other raclettes are complete dishes, but gourmets can enjoy the starters on the menu, which can be eaten alone or shared. On our side, we discover thefried egg with parmesan cream, accompanied by oyster mushrooms and watercress. And my sidekick opts for the Beaufort croquettes to share.

Then we get down to business with the Mont d'Or and raclette. It's worth noting that, while all these mountain dishes await you all winter long, the raclettes are only served on Wednesdays! (24,50€).

With its fine charcuterie, salad and potatoes, the dishes are ultra-expensive. Bon vivants have found their address!

Those with a sweet tooth won't want to miss out on dessert, of course. We opted for the fresh exotic fruit salad with lime sorbet and the gourmet coffee.

Note also that this kid-friendly address offers entertainment every Sunday lunchtime for families. They can have fun with professional entertainers while parents finish enjoying the generous dishes on the menu. A €14 menu is dedicated to children.
