At L’Atelier Saint-Georges, one comes to eat burgers like no others. Names and recipes try to reconcile these small buns everyone love with French terroir and gastronomy. The outcome is rather surprising!

Two former business workers, Xavier and Eloi, have decided to drop everything to open this lovely restaurant in the heart of the 9th arrondissement, by giving burgers pride of place, but not any burger! As a matter of fact, they are deeply attached to the French terroir and the two friends have decided to serve really thought up burgers. Welcome to L’Atelier Saint-Georges!

In this former bakery, bread ovens have been replaced by large friendly tables and their chairs from the 50’s. mirrors, moldings, checkered floor… The atmosphere is friendly and triggers passersby’s curiosity.

Everything is cooked with fresh and quality ingredients. The beef is 100% French, knife-ground every day. Buns directly come from the local bakery, PDO cheese is made of raw milk and as for desserts, they are homemade.

On the menu, burgers which names and composition are a nod to our great chefs and cooks. We have the classic Monsieur, based on knife-ground meat, Basque tomme cheese, onions and romaine lettuce. Monsieur Paul – as a reference to the great Paul Bocuse – features pan-fried foie gras escalope and Monsieur Gaston is based on camembert, pan-fried granny smith apples and pine nuts… Recipes don’t lack originality and are filled with references to the French gastronomy. They all are very thought up and sophisticated.

A few salads (Caesar, Italian, goat’s cheese) they are also on the menu for those paying close attention to their figure.
Moving on to sweet-toothed foodies, they shouldn’t miss the very light cheesecake, the cookie or the dessert of the day…
