In Place du Marché Sainte-Catherine in Paris, there’s a small place fully dedicated to magic: Le Double Fond.
For Christmas, it offers a dinner menu followed by a magic show with a small gift at the end.

The dinner is held like a big buffet with “luxury” cocktails including 27 pieces: 19 chilled savory pieces, 2 hot savory pieces, 6 sweet pieces. You can choose among:

PRESTIGE VERRINE (1 piece)
Sour beetroot mousse and its vodka whipped cream
OR
Asparagus mousse and its tomato and basil coulis

FINGER FOODS (3 pieces)
Tuna stuffed bell pepper
Mozzarella and tomato skewer
Spicy king shrimps skewer

SPOONS (2 pieces)
Tapenade scrambled eggs
Half-cooked homemade foie gras and artichoke

VANNERIE (2 pieces)
Smoked salmon toasts
Aged cheeses toasts

PRESTIGE PIECE (2 pieces)
Surprise cabbage marinated salmon

MIXED SALADS (1 piece)
Individual sea pearl salad timbale

BRIOCHE NAVETTE (2 pieces)
Raw vegetables
Tuna cream with herbs and spices
Tartar cheese cream with herbs

NEWS CANAPES (5 pieces)
Les Canapés du Terroir: Bayonne ham, Troyes andouillette with mustard grains, Danish salami, Pepperoni chorizo, Bündnerfleisch, smoked walnuts from the Ardennes, duck rillettes and gizzard petals, Morello cherry butter and smoked duck breast.
Les Canapés Maraîchers: cherry tomato with eggplant caviar, horseradish and red radish butter, parsley cream and asparagus faggot, Morello cherry and broccoli mousse, mimosa cucumber and tomato, mustard grains, cucumber and palm heart.
Les Canapés de la Mer: homemade (beech tree) smoked salmon julienne strip, blue herring from the Baltic, king prawns and sand shrimps butter, cherry tomato and homemade lime taramasalata, trout’s eggs and homemade smoked tuna.

To accompany all this, 1 glass of Champagne, ½ bottle of wine and water and wines at will as well as coffee and tea.
