Eating lobster in Paris is not easy especially when you are not stinking rich. Rémy, Louis, Vivien and Damien, 4 fellows who are madly in love with this delicious crustacean decided to generalize lobster and open a restaurant in Paris with affordable price, just like in Boston, New York or in Canada.
Les Pinces restaurant, unlike others, decided that the menu will only feature fresh lobsters. What about the delivery? Well, they have lobsters sent from the USA or Canada twice a week and the lobsters sleep in a tank in the basement. To be successful the four friends invested in a tank that can receive about 200 lobsters. And that is a good thing since a delicious lobster awaits you in your plate.
The restaurant is perfectly located in rue Bourg-Tibourg, within walking distance from the Hôtel de Ville. The space is divided into two areas: a large dining room on the left and a smaller one featuring a bar on the right for a total surface of 100m². The decoration is simple and welcoming with white walls, exposed stones, wood beams and school chairs. Unlike the top of the range establishments where we are used to eat lobster at, the restaurant is young and friendly so we all are at ease.
No lengthy menu but a simple offer with only three choices at a unique price (€25). 500 g roasted lobster, the delicious and gourmet Lobster Roll or even the prime rib of beef for the resolute carnivorous, the choice is yours!
We especially advise you to try out the Lobster Roll which is to die for! With the buttered toast Rachel created for the eatery, its homemade sauce and its side dish full of lobster, you will be hooked. Dishes are served with a generous portion of crispy (homemade) French fries, well seasoned salad and a tasty lemon-flavored sauce.
Do you still have room for dessert? Rachel's excellent cheesecake, warm crumble and vanilla ice cream or homemade chocolate mousse, it is up to you.
Finally, remember that the place also provides delightful cocktails to enjoy while eating or at the bar. The alcoholic version is at €10 and the soft version at €7, let yourself be tempted. We particularly liked the Red Tail one mixing vodka, fresh raspberries, cranberry juice, lemon juice, basil and sparkling water.
In other words you now know where to go if you feel like enjoying lobster all year long with your friends!
