Musicales de Bagatelle Musicales de Bagatelle are back for a new and 10th edition you should not miss. The event will take place on Saturday May 27, Sunday May 28 at the Parc de Bagatelle’s Orangery and on Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4 at the Vincennes floral park. On the menu? A compendium of young talents and never-seen-before artistic meetings throughout four high-flying concerts held in a charming setting a stone’s throw from Paris city-center.
Electronik Brunch On Saturdays May 21 and 28 and June 4, 2017, Vincennes floral park will host three “Electronik brunches”. These three first meetings are featuring an exceptional and promising lineup (Etienne de Crécy, Hot Chip, Paul Ritch…).
Play Me I’m Yours 2017 in Paris: live piano customization From June 22 to July 11, 2017, Play Me I’m Yours is back with pianos scattered across the capital’s streets. Prior to this, the event invites you to discover to a live customization of these pianos. It will take place on two weekends: May 20-21 and May 27-28 at the Jardin d’Acclimatation.
Art and Cultural Exhibitions:
Dragonland From May 25 to September 3, 2017, Paris Parc des Expositions hosts Dragonland. This gigantic exhibition features about thirty moving life-size dragons! Myth or reality? Come and visit this exhibition more authentic than the original.
National Geographic at the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle From May 3 to September 18, 2017, the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle welcomes the legendary “National Geographic” magazine within its Mineralogy and Geology Gallery for a great exhibition featuring a hundred photographs. Published for the first time in 1888 thanks to a small group of explorers, “National Geographic” displays pictures to celebrate over a century of travels. And it is wonderful.
Art/Africa, Fondation Vuitton’s three exhibitions From mid-April to 28 August 2017, Fondation Louis Vuitton accommodates three small exhibitions dedicated to South African and Sub-Saharan African artistic creation. We can discover a huge choice of the African’s artist, Jean Pigozzi’s (1989-2009) works focusing on South African contemporary scene and an overview of Fondation Vuitton’s African collection.
Jardins Until 24 July 2017, the Grand Palais also organizes an incredible exhibition focusing on gardens. This is an exceptional exhibition about the history of gardens from the Renaissance to nowadays. Jardins also displays the very first botanic garden and the garden of the future and helps us understand why the landscape is so important to artists!
The Sacred Stone of the Maori The Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac accommodates a lovely exhibition in its eastern mezzanine entirely dedicated to jade, the sacred stone of the Maori (New-Zealand). From Tuesday, May 23 to Sunday, October 1, 2017, the exhibition will present all the facets of the green gold from the other end of the world.
Night-visit of the Château de Dourdan You will find in Dourdan, in Essonne department (91) an extraordinary castle built by Philipphe Auguste in 1220. On a regular basis, the city’s tourist office organizes night-visits of the castle, just to make you shiver through contact with the great History.
