Swimming in Paris You may not know that but the Bassin de la Villette is the largest artificial lake in Paris and you will soon be allowed to swim… in the basin! After months assessing the water quality, the office of Paris Mayor presented its project to allow a secured swim this summer: 3 basins of different depths will be set within the Bassin de la Villette by the Quai de la Loire to allow Parisians and tourists to swim whilst enjoying a summery atmosphere. The pool will be open from July 17 to September 15, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for free… This is THE place to be this summer!
Visiting Paris aboard an old car Do you know that you can visit Paris aboard an old car? It is a crazy experience called “Traversée de Paris en Anciennes” featuring over 700 old vehicles that happens twice a year. The next one is happening on July 30, 2017 and you should not miss it. Notice that this 28-km long trip across the French capital is organized by the association Vincennes en Anciennes and will end up with a picnic on the Observatory terrace in Meudon next to the cars!
Tuileries Funfair 2017 From Saturday June 24 to Sunday August 27, 2017, the Tuileries funfair will be back. Do not miss this incredible human-size family funfair in full heart of Paris.
Fête des Loges For four centuries, the Fête des Loges has been pleasing many children and adults throughout summer! Star-gazing Nights Do you fancy star-gazing on July 28, 29 and 30, 2017, for star-gazing nights? For 3 days, the most beautiful observatories in France invite you to gaze at the stars all together. Each year, over 100,000 curious star-gazers come to look at the sky, even in Paris!
Climb up the Tour Saint-Jacques From June 30 to October 29, 2017, the mystic Tour Saint-Jacques, set within walking distance from Paris Hôtel de Ville, opens its doors to unveil its secrets. Last year guided tours welcomed over 5,000 visitors to discover this 54-m high tower of a medieval church featuring 300 steps.
Nuit aux Invalides 2017 Nuit aux Invalides, or Night at Invalides, is back from July 6th to September 2nd, 2017 with a surprising show. This summer, Bruno Sillier will take us through Paris’s history with a spectacular 3D show projected along the facade of the historic Hotel des Invalides monument!
Paris-Plages 2017 When will Paris-Plages open? Each year, when the sand arrives in Paris, Parisians and tourists suddenly feel like they are living in the tropics. In 2017, the artificial beaches will be open from July 8 to September 3 with several changes: the left bank of the river Seine will welcome artificial beaches, a huge swimming pool will take place in La Villette but the biggest shock is that the 3,000 tons of sand will not be here! Open-air cinema in La Villette From July 20 to August 20, La Villette open-air film festival is back for its 27th edition. On the menu: a month of free movie screenings on La Villette lawn focusing on a very contemporary theme: “in the kitchen…”!

Christian Dior To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the House of Dior, the Musée des Arts décoratifs orchestrates a wonderful exhibition about Christian Dior (1905-1957), the house designer. From 5 Juy 2017 to 7 January 2018, this huge restrospective features more than 400 dresses, come and visit the exhibition through a staged journey designed with genius by Nathalie Crinière.
IMAGINE VAN GOGH at the Grande Halle de la Villette IMAGINE VAN GOGH is this summer great exhibition. From June 23 to October 10, 2017, at the Grande Halle de la Villette, this exhibition is to be discovered. Thanks to pictures, colors and sounds, you will be immersed in the painter’s impressionist universe.
Dragonland From May 25 to September 3, 2017, Paris exhibition center is hosting a gigantic exhibition dedicated to dragons featuring about thirty full-scale dragons. Myth or reality? Come and discover an exhibition with dragons more authentic than the originals!
DC Comics From 31 March to 10 September 2017, the Art Ludique museum showcases DC Superheroes with an exhibition called “The Dawn of Superheroes”. Thanks to a collaboration with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros, the Parisian museum gathers together Batman, Superman and so many other Superheroes in Paris. Dalida Paris’s Musée de la Mode, Palais Galliera, displays an exhibition dedicated to a true icon, Dalida, and especially to her glamourous look made famous by her ample bosoms and alluring lower back. To visit from 27 April to 13 August 2017.
Auto Photo, an exhibition at the Fondation Cartier From 19 April to October 2017, the Fondation Cartier accommodates a great exhibition focused on auto-themed photographs. Many documents show that Jacques-Henri Lartigue is deeply fascinated by the car’s speed, Andrew Bush considers it as a witness of modern times and Malick Sidibé sees it as a subject to brag about. As a bonus, you will be able to attend legendary movie clips.
Rodin To celebrate the centenary of the sculptor's death, Auguste Rodin (1840-197), the Grand Palais hosts a major exhibition from 22 March to 31 July 2017. Exhibiting 200 works of the master, the museum pays tribute to Rodin whose influence on his contemporaries and his successors - many of them are displayed - has been incredible.
Lee Ungno, the man of crowds at the Musée Cernuschi From June 9 to November 19, 2017, the Musée Cernuschi dedicates a temporary exhibition to one of the greatest Asian artists in the 20th century, Lee Ungno. The artist, who rubbed shoulders with Soulages and Hartung, has spent many years illustrating with crowds the birth of democracy in South Korea: to discover.
US and Them: From Prejudice to Racism From March 31, 2017 to January 8, 2018, the Musée de l’Homme organizes its first temporary exhibition. The Musée de l’Homme hits hard and highlights racism in our society. Us and Them: From Prejudice to Racism is a rattling exhibition you can visit from March 31, 2017 to January 8, 2018.

U2 at the Stade de France In 2017, U2 celebrate the 30th anniversary of “The Joshua Tree”. In Europe, Bono and its friends will stop in eight cities including Paris with two exclusive dates at the Stade de France on Tuesday July 25 and Wednesday July 26.
