Devoted to video games, Press Start returns from September 22 to 27, 2021 at Centre Pompidou BPI for its 9th edition. Free of charge, the festival is themed on Bestiary. On the menu, workshops, meetings and video games!

Even though the unmissable Paris Games Week did not take place this year because of coronavirus, video game fans can yet enjoy the Press Start festival.
Centre Pompidou BPI (Bibliothèque publique d’information – Public Data Library) welcomes from Wednesday September 22 to Monday 27, 2021 the 9th edition of Press Start, a free festival devoted to gaming.

After revival in 2017, emotions in 2018, cinema in 2019, and post-apocalypttic in 2020, this year, Press Start festival is themed on video games' bestiary, because there are many animals used as video game heroes. And for a long time. Such as Sonic, the blue hedgehog, or Crash Bandicoot, the orange marsupial.

On the menu of this 6-day festival, video games, meetings, screenings, and even workshops.

You can then discover or rediscover independent, experimental and general public video games themed on Bestiary, on your own or with a team, on computer or consoles. But you can also meet professionals of the sector for a chat.

Press Start is also about participative workshops, and this year, you can be introduced to game design, create your own game or discover computer music, or be introduced to digital drawing as well.

Because of the health crisis, the number of participants is limited. It explains why even though everything is free of charge you must book for the workshops on line.
