Sensas, the latest immersive, sensory and playful experience in Paris - our test

Have you heard about Sensas? This is a brand-new gaming concept that recently settled in by Montmartre. On the menu, an immersive tour calling for all your senses with many challenges. A great experience for a very incredible moment.

After escape rooms or games such as Koezio or Heroes Academy, here is Sensas, a newcomer to the team game scene in Paris.
Set in the 18th arrondissement, Sensas delivers a never-before-seen 2-hour sensory experience you can enjoy in teams of at least 4 people with your family or friends.

The different teams never mix or run into each others. A good thing amid the health crisis. Teams can fit up to 30 players, especially as part of team building.

Already settled in several cities in France (Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux) and Europe (London, Geneva), Sensas recently arrived in Paris by Montmartre, with the greatest venue of its network.

The different successive steps of the immersive tour of Sensas call in for you five senses and often take place in the dark.

On the menu: smells to recognize, lasers to avoid, Braille writings to find with your hands, or an anti-gravity room or even a giant ball pool.

Challenges to face up to win or collect amulets. And careful, amulets are worth money. As a matter of fact, each amulet won is a 10-centime donation from Sensas to a charity fighting handicap. Because Sensas is also raising awareness about disability (deafness, blindness…) and solidarity. The Parisian venue has decided to team up with the Sourires autour du monde charity.

Are you in to awake all your senses and face up challenges delivered by Sensas?

Our test:

The Sensas experience reminds us of adventure games. But not only. It goes beyond. After a first step to put us at ease, the famous picture in a tilted set, let us cut to the chase with the first workshops. And it starts with a bang, our sense of taste is put to the test. In the dark, of course. We then start to taste food, only edible and not bad things. This is not a prank. For some people - who cannot see - it is very difficult to get familiar with tastes. For others, this is easy-peasy. But note food is adapted when therer are children in teams.

Then, we have to touch. Still in the dark, we must put our hands into bowls filled with not very pleasant things to touch, looking for clues. And we still cannot see, which is very difficult to move over the stage of fear and being okay with putting our hands inside... All the more so the game master - who is with us all along the experience - goes all out to keep us scared of what is inside the containers. And we are filmed all the time, enabling the game master to know where we are at and the other team members to have a good laugh when we need only half the team. When the light comes back, it does not look normal, of course: red and green lights show us how color-blind see the world around them. Here, one experiences many types of disabilities.

After the senses of touch and taste, now, let us move on to the sense of smell. Still in the dark, we must recognize smells. Not very easy. And then comes the funniest challenge: mime. In turns, each player has to go to a room, still in the dark and mime while the other players - in another room - can see it all on a screen and must guess. Brace yourselves for a good ol' laugh.

But that is not all, because the experience lasts two hours. Then, enjoy a dive in a ball pool to wake your inner child up. And we want to say it: the quest for clues is far from being easy. Last but not least, to the Mission Impossible theme, we have to rob the last amulets - protected by lasers. One last and very nice workshop... Well, for those who can get through the red lasers!

All in all, our team of 4 managed to collect 8 amulets, namely an 80-cent donation to Sourires autour du monde. A relatively honorable result - according to the game master. But the most important thing is that we had a fantastic time immortalized by the staff filming and photographying us all the time to get a keepsake of this unforgettable experience!
