Eggsy and Merlin are back… Kingsman: The Golden Circle, a movie produced and directed by Matthew Vaughn, is a sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service and is released on October 11, 2017 in France. A feature film in which we get back to Taron Egerton, Mark Tronk, Michael Gambon, Jeff Bridges, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, Hale Berry and even Julianne Moore as Poppy, a drug trafficker a bit insane.
Plot:
Promoted new Galahad agent, Eggsy is happy with his new life alongside with his sweetheart and his dog J.B., but it’s without thinking about Poppy, a drug trafficker who has a thirst for justice, to throw a wrench in the gears of our young spy and the whole organization. An adventure leading him to Kingsman’s cousins: the Statesman and that will lead him to face a ghost from the past.
Our review about the movie:
Kingsman: The Golden Circle takes over what made the success of the first movie of the franchise again: spy film codes, punchy and nerve-racking shots that put viewers in the heart of the action and this same distinctive humor, perhaps better brought than in the first movie. Ridicule really entertains us, proof of it is Elton John’s presence and performance, larger than life.
A movie also riding the wave of the clichés, pushed to the extreme (the typical American, a kind of cowboy, king of the spit and hat jammed hard on the head, or the flower power hippie girl, adept of chakras and totem animal), that make this second movie an enjoyable and madcap sequel in the line of what Matthew Vaughn offered in Kingman: The Secret Service.
