Remember, in September 2017, Paris Grand Rex was launching a new entertainment mixing musicals and karaoke. Called L’Ecran Pop, this event didn’t take long to seduce a large public especially thanks to its strong concept inspired by the Anglo-Saxon tradition of Sing-Along as well as to the screening of its first movie: Mamma Mia!.
Facing the success, L’Ecran Pop decided to schedule another cult movie in karaoke version, “The Young Girls of Rochefort”.
Tuesday October 30, 2018, L’Ecran Pop was inaugurating a third movie, Grease. A successful session especially thanks to the presence of the comedians from the French version of the musical performed at the Théâtre Mogador last season.
The event delighted and seduced the audience, so much that they are all coming back for a second session scheduled on Friday December 14, 2018.
L’Ecran Pop will make you dive into Grease universe. The movie will be screened in original version with cinema-karaoke subtitles including lyrics on the screen in addition to translations.
During the “pre-show” preceding each session, the audience is put into the movie universe with live shows, games, challenges, karaoke and gifts. You can also enjoy the coolest costume contest of all times!
For the records, “Grease” counted 5,300,000 entrances in France the year of its release (1978). No musical ever equalized this success. Based on Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey’s homonymous musical created in 1972 in Broadway, Grease is a series of songs now cult. Its popularity that doesn’t decrease 40 years after its release is the perfect recipe for rocking karaoke-movie nights. Grease is also one of the most Sing-Along played movies for decades in Anglo-Saxon countries.
So, do not hesitate and pick your team (Pink Ladies or T-Birds) and most of all, apply some hair gel to take part in Grease by L’Ecran Pop.
