Bohemian Rapsody makes its comeback with L'Écran Pop, the cinema-karaoke at the Grand Rex on May 31. It's been several years now since the spectacular biopic about Freddy Mercury returned to the screens of one of Paris's finest cinemas. The 2024 edition awaits you, fit and ready to break your voice!
L'Écran Pop, created in 2016 by Natacha Campana, aims to create an original entertainment experience. The idea is to discover or re-discover cult musicals or films, while having the opportunity to dance, sing along and thoroughly enjoy the film's music. The entrepreneur's gamble paid off, because since 2016, there's been plenty to choose from: Grease, Mamma Mia and Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, Hairspray and many more. Whether with friends, colleagues or family, Écran Pop sessions are an invitation to unwind for an evening.
The biopic Bohemian Rhapsody about the life of Freddie Mercury was released in France on October 31, 2018, and had attracted 4.2 million viewers. Lead actor Rami Malek even won theOscar for Best Actor for his superb portrayal of Freddie Mercury. A true success and a film that has become cult,Écran Pop has chosen to add it once again to the Grand Rex's cinema-karaoke program.
As with every cinema-karaoke session organized by Écran Pop, you'll be handed a bag of goodies at the door, which you may or may not use during the evening. The evening begins with an introduction and a few activities, including the election of the best costume, so it's time to go and buy your best white tank top! Then the film is shown, and it's your turn to sing along.
