After Grease and Mamma Mia, L’Ecran Pop will offer a new musical and sing-along movie.
It’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, the movie about Freddie Mercury’s life, Queen charismatic leader, out on October 31, 2018 in theaters and that attracted over 4.2 million viewers in France. The first (of a long series – let’s hope so) of “Bohemian Rhapsody” sing-alongs was held on Thursday May 16, 2019.
But since this session has been sold-out in no time, L'Ecran Pop has already announced a new and second session on Friday September 13, 2019.
As for the other sing-along sessions, L’Ecran Pop has planned to give a tote bag filled with goodies related the movie to all viewers to participate even more to the screening as well as a preshow prior to the movie. Animated by a host, it will include an Open Mic (judged with a clapometer), a live orchestra, a giant quiz (with gifts to win) and the traditional costume contest.
The orchestra will include 4 musicians (guitarist, bassist, drummer and keyboarder) and the boldest fans can try their hands at performing Queen’s greatest hits. “Another One Bites the Dust”, “Killer Queen”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “We Are The Champions”, “I Want to Break Free”, “The Show Must Go On”, “Somebody to Love”, “I Want it All” are on the menu of the Open Mic. To take part, you have to sign up solo, in duo or trio, and online before the event.
Here’s the program of the night:
We loved “Bohemian Rhapsody” so much when it came out and the vibe during L’Ecran Pop events that we can only recommend you to attend this movie as a karaoke version.
