Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin are back from March 5 to 10, 2019 to make cohabit once again new cinema and contemporary art. An event to experience for free through a unique tour of Parisian places: the Louvre, Centre Pompidou, the Carreau du Temple…

From March 5 to 10, 2019 Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin invite us to discover the relationship and the cohabitation between new cinema and contemporary art. For 6 days, artists and movie makers from all over the world will screen never-seen-before works and come to meet the public.

For this edition 2019, a discovery lab dedicated to virtual reality has been open and over 120 works from 40 countries have been gathered. We also find a daily forum gathering art centers and museums directors, curators, artists who came to share their experience and discuss new audiovisual methods.

On the menu:

  • Screenings including over 90% of film premiere for the first time in France and carte blanches (Claire Denis, Michael Snow, special sessions…)
  • Performances
  • Panels

These multiple events are to be discovered thanks to a unique tour through Paris venues: the Louvre auditorium, the Forum des Images, Centre Pompidou, the Carreau du Temple and the Cité Internationale des Arts. A journey between many performances offering us a beautiful opening onto the contemporary audiovisual creation.

Every year, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin are an unmissable event to meet renown artists and moviemakers as well as to discover young emerging talents.
