Danny and his divinatory power are back in movie theaters! Doctor Sleep, a movie by Mike Flanagan, based on Stephen King’s eponymous novel and the sequel of one of his bestsellers, The Shining, is out on October 30, 2019 in France. A movie starring Ewan McGregor as Danny Torrance, an alcoholic adult who will have to face his demons (in the true sense of the word, and figuratively) to go help a young girl who also has the shining.
As for the cast, we also have Rebecca Ferguson (The Kid Who Would Be King, Men in Black international…), Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek into Darkness, Kingsman: the Golden Circle…), Emily Alyn Lind (Lights Out, Replicas…), Carel Struycken (The Addams Family, Twin Peaks…), Jocelyn Donahue (The Frontier, Fast & Furious 7…), Carl Lumbly (Escape from Alcatraz…) and even Jacob Trembley (Room, My life with John F. Donovan…) as young Danny Torrance.
Plot:
The Shining sequel in which Danny, now adult, is still as traumatized and suffers from alcoholism issues and anger management. Like his dad. And his paranormal powers flood back when he has to save a little girl.
