Presented for the official competition at the Cannes Festival 2019, “Sorry We Missed You” is a new Ken Loach movie.

Three years after winning the 2016 Cannes Film Festival Palme-d’Or and the César for best foreign movie with “I, Daniel Blake”, moviemaker Ken Loach is back in theaters with a new film still as committed and militant.

This time, Ken Loach got surrounded by actors Kris Hitchen, Debbie Honeywood and even Rhys Stone to show the drifts of the modern society. “Sorry We Missed You” is to discover in French theaters from October 23, 2019.

Plot:

Ricky, Abby and their two children live in Newcastle. Their family is very close, and parents work hard. While Abby devotedly works for old persons, Ricky works several badly paid jobs; they come to the conclusion they would never be independent or become the owners of their house. It’s now or never! The digital revolution seems to give them a real opportunity: Abby sells her car so that Ricky can buy a van and become a self-employed delivery driver. But the drifts of this new and modern world will have major impacts on the whole family.
