Released on June 20, 2018 in France, “A Quiet Place” attracted about 650,000 spectators to movie theaters in France. The scary movie had the originality of being almost completely quiet since in this post-apocalyptical world, monsters attack every time they hear a noise. On the world’s scale, the movie has been a huge hit, especially from a bankable point of view since it cost 17 million dollars to the production and won over 340…
With such a success, the producers could only plan a sequel. A second movie expected by viewers, especially in light of the end of the first opus… It is now done. On June 16, 2021 will be released “A Quiet Place: Part II”, a scary movie still directed by John Krasinski and starring his wife, Emily Blunt. In the meantime, we saw the actress as the lead part in “Mary Poppins returns”. This year, she will also star in “Jungle Cruise”, a Disney movie. With her, cillian Murphy starring in the "Peaky Blinders" series.

Our review:
Barely two years after the first movie, "A Quiet Place: Part II" is eventually released three years later.
With "A Quiet Place: Part II", director John Krasinski takes us once again into chaos. Monsters fought in the 2018 movie are unfortunately back and ready to rip into the people. Although this is a sequel - released very late over Covid - the crumbs explaining the arrival of these monsters are very useful to refresh our memories.
These monsters - although we know them already for over three years - are hidding absolutely everywhere and still manage to make us jump when they come from God knows where.
For this second movie, the director multiplies points of view, serving the family's daughter's, Regan, who is deaf, taking us into a world of silence, her very own world. In this second installment, actress Millicent Simmonds gets a promotion. Her deaf character becomes very meaningful.
The editing and directing of Krasinski are working wonders. He makes parallels between different scenes, but happening at the same time and still having a common factor.
The end - rather hopeful - calls for another sequel since all the characters do not seem to come to the same end.
A movie to discover from June 16, 2021.
