If you've never experienced EclairColor technology at a film screening before, visit the Pathé Opéra Premier cinema. But what exactly is EclairColor? EclairColor is a color processing system that accentuates colors, resulting in a more realistic image. However, this technology is only available for certain films.
At Pathé Opéra Premier, you'll find a dozen domestically-released films shown every week in the cinema's 18 screens. And this year, (re)discover screenings of musicals and French comedy plays, broadcast live or recorded, such as Le Petit Maître Corrigé and Le Malade Imaginaire. Special screenings are also available foropera fans, with the Bolshoi Ballet broadcast live from Moscow on selected Sundays throughout the year. The Nutcracker, Tosca, Romeo and Juliet, etc...if you'd like to attend, find out more here.
In addition to these events, which take place this year, there are also "Once upon a time..." screenings, such as the current rerun of several films from the James Bond saga to coincide with the forthcoming release of Mourir peut attendre.
All this, in the heart of Paris's 2nd arrondissement, right next to the famous Opéra Garnier and Place Vendôme, just 550 metres from the cinema. Less than a 10-minute walk away, you'll also find a Poké bar, the Galeries Lafayette on boulevard Haussmann and the Musée des parfums to visit. And if you're in the mood for a bit of celebrity sightseeing, head to the Musée Grévin, a 9-minute walk away, to gaze at waxwork celebrities!
