“The Rental” – actor Dave Franco’s directorial debuts – is out on August 19, 2020 in France. This horror movie stars Dan Stevens, Alison Brie, Sheila Vand, and Jeremy Allen White.

Even though American blockbusters are nowhere to be seen in French movie theaters this summer, horror movies are doing well. In addition to “Antebellum” (out the same day), and “The Vigil”, horror movie fans can also enjoy “The Rental” out in France on August 19, 2020.

The Rental” is actor and James Franco’s little brother Dave Franco’s directorial debut. For his first movie, he chooses to go for horror.
In “The Rental”, Dave Franco directs Dan Stevens (Lucy in the sky, Beauty and the Beast…), Alison Brie (Pentagon Papers, The Disaster Artist), Sheila Vand (Argo), Jeremy Allen White (Shameless) and Toby Huss (Ghostbusters, Destoryer and Horse Girl”).

Plot:

Two couples rent a magnificent house by the ocean for a festive weekend.
The four friends quickly understand that behind the beauty of the place, danger is lurking: a mysterious presence seems to spy on them and unveils shameful secrets on each one of them.
Tension is increasing and the dream weekend quickly turns into an absolute nightmare.
