Kevin Costner is back on the silver screen in 2021!
The next movie he stars in is a thriller, “Let Him Go”, opening from June 16, 2021 in France.
Costner grows rarer in movies. And for good reason, his most recent roles were not on the silver screen. He played in “The Highwaymen” – on Netflix – as well as in “The Art of Racing in the Rain” – on Disney+ - and in the “Yellowstone” series.
Next year, Costner will be back with “Let Him Go”. A movie directed by Thomas Bezucha to whom we owe “Monte Carlo” (2011) starring Selena Gomez, and “The Family Stone” (2005) starring Sarah Jessica Parker.
“Let Him Go” is based on Larry Watson’s 2020 novel “Let Him Go”.
Costner shares the screens with Diane Lane (“Justice League”, “Man of Steel”, “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice”…), Lesley Manville (“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”…), Booboo Stewart (“Descendants”, “X-Men: Days of Future Past”…), and Jeffrey Donovan (“Honest Thief”, “Sicario: Day of the Soldado”…).
Plot:
After losing their son, retired sheriff George Blackledge (Costner) and his wife Margaret (Lane) leave their Montana ranch to save their grandson from a dangerous family tightly reigned on by matriarch Blanche Weboy (Manville). When they realized the Weboys do not intend to let go of the child, George and Margaret have not other choice but fight to reunited their family again.
