The Champs-Elysées Film Festival is coming back from June 18 to 25, 2019 for its 8th edition. On the menu of this French and American independent movie festival: feature film and short film competition, premiers, masterclasses, showcases on one of Paris most beautiful terraces and much more!

The Champs-Elysées Film Festival is back in June 2019 with more ambition: defending and promoting French and American independent cinema and give a new lease on cultural life to the legendary avenue.

For a week – from June 18 to 25, 2019 – the Avenue des Champs-Elysées will live at the same rhythm as cinema with events open to all. 5 movie theaters on the Champs-Elysées will screen movies in competition, premieres, masterclasses, conferences, showcases on the Publicis rooftop, special nights such as the opening and the closing nights open for €35!

The opening night is planned on June 18, 2019 and will start with the screening of Yves by Benoît Forgeard. Then, it will continue at Maison du Danemark - Flora Danica with a colorful showcase by singer Corine.

The closing ceremony will be held on June 25 at the Théâtre Marigny with the screening of Can You Ever Forgive Me by Marielle Heller followed by a great night with DJ sets provided by Sônge and Fishbach.

All week long, many guests will come and meet festival goers: actor Jeff Goldblum, moviemaker Debra Granik, actor Kyle MachLachlan, actor Christopher Walken, moviemakers David Lowery, Alex Ross Perry and Rick Alverson.

For this period of time, the Avenue des Champs-Elysées welcomes every night red carpets for the premiere of the following movies:

  • Dragged Across Concrete by S. Craig Zahler
  • Her Smell by Alex Ross Perry with the moviemaker
  • Pretenders by James Franco
  • The Moutain by Rick Alverson with the moviemaker
  • The Old Man & The Gun by David Lowery with the moviemaker
