Meet the professionals of the aerospace industry at the highly-awaited 52nd International Paris Air Show Paris -Le Bourget from June 19th-25th, 2017.
The International Paris Air Show is the most important expo of its kind in the world, bringing together visitors of diverse backgrounds, from enthusiasts to novices and professionals. It’s an economic and industrial event of the highest international calibre, and an opportunity for many professionals in the field to exchange ideas and present their greatest innovations.
Not only is this expo a great way for buyers and industry professionals to meet and gain contacts, but it also features amazing demonstrations of the latest aircraft and equipment, sometimes in flight. During airshow week, these afternoon presentations are always a highlight and very impressive!
This year, several highly-awaited planes will make their debut at the International Paris Air Show Paris-Le Bourget. For light, commercial and military aircraft, innovation is everywhere. The E-Fan Airbus has marked an important milestone for eco-technologies. Airbus will also present its A350 and A340. The A350 uses the latest technologies to fly longer distances, with more cargo and fewer emissions.
Of course, the Rafale will also be there! The year 2015 was especially important for this fighter aircraft, since it saw a huge success in international exports that year. Antonov will also be present, showing their new AN178. Visitors can see the Scorpion by Bell-Textron, the two-seater with advanced equipment designed for ground attacks and recognition, that comes at a surprisingly low price. It’s also worth mentioning that the expo will include the JF-17, aircraft used by the Pakistani air force. Of course, there will also be more classic aircraft to see in flight, like the Curtiss P40, the P51 and the Fouga Magister. These demonstrations are always very impressive!
On the Hall Concorde side, visitors can see the “l’Avion des Métiers” exhibition, which explores about 20 different technical and operational occupations linked to aircraft production (fitters, assembly-line workers, welders, etc.) jobs that are recruiting in large numbers. Inside a giant aircraft cabin structure built just for the occasion, this exhibition by GIFAS also includes meetings with passionate representatives and simulation workshops!
Next to the “l’Avion des Métiers” exhibition is the Employment and Training Forum, that offers 6,000 jobs, 5,000 internships and 3,000 work-study training programs.
And you wont't want to miss the Rockettry Challenge, an international youth competition for mini rocket launches (finals take place on June 19th). For the competition, mini rockets carrying two raw eggs with a parachute braking device are shot at 230m altitude. The eggs must arrive intact after their descent! Participants are judged by the quality of their shot (altitude and time), the state of the egg on their rocket, and the presentation of their project in front of the panel of judges.
In short, this is a must-see event for for all aviation enthusiasts and amateurs. One word of advice: reserve your tickets ahead of time to save time and avoid the long lines at the entrance!
Also note that you can access a wide range of information in real time for the event on the newly available mobile app! Agendas, lists of the exhibitors, aircraft, available services, and indoor/outdoor geo-localization - this app has everything you need!
