Long day wandering around Paris? You need to unwind? To take some “me-time”? If you don’t feel like going to a spa, what about treating yourself on your own? But before locking yourself in your bathroom, go to Soap and the City for a shopping spree!
This lovely shop is located in Paris 10th arrondissement and for beauty-addicts it is almost a place of pilgrimage. And we totally understand why. There are so many products that are cute, fun and that smell so good. Better still, there is everything you need to have a relaxing bath.
There are so many products we don’t know where to start. Even more surprising, all products sold at Soap and the City are made in France and handcrafted. If you please!
What about fizzy bath bombs that color and perfume your bath? They abound! If you are in a more sentimental mood or if you want to get a romantic break with your heart’s desire, you can also give a go to the tiny effervescent bath hearts smelling like musk, mint or strawberry. You can also go further and try the bath confetti or the rose soaps that will float on the surface of water.
If love of good food is your little weakness, you may be attracted by the cupcakes and their delicious smell, but don’t eat them because they are nothing but… soap! Yes, some of these cakes are indeed soap or bath jellies. Generally based on cocoa butter, you can choose to put them in your bath or just run them on your damp skin to moisturize it, their action lasts for days!
So far, you may have understood it, we are in the fairytale land of bath. For children, candy-shaped soaps will make you put more fun into their bath providing that they don’t venture to eat this lovely ice cream or this delightful lollypop. For your whole family: shower gels, body cream, skincare as far as the eye can see and what a range of scents!
The hardest part is to leave your shower or bathtub!
