Launched in 2017 by Julie Arend, the brand provides fashion where 70’s chic vintage and fun meet. Committed, Fraîche choses raw materials from suppliers in France and Europe. The idea is to produce locally to make the local economy work, call in skilled artisans and lower the ecological impact.
The process is more than simple: each Fraîche creation is designed and sketched by Julie. Models are then created and entirely made in the Fraîche studio in Paris. 100% local and we love it.
And this Fall 2019, Fraîche unveils a new bag, Le Virage (€350) in partnership with leather-goods dealer Laïta. For the story, the name of the bag comes from the restaurant where Julie met the leather-goods dealers, Le Virage Lepic. Made of wood and leather, this large bag can fit your laptop, files and magazines, but you can also wear it folded under your arms for a resolutely retro look. It exists in two colors, navy blue and camel or red and purple.
The rest of the collection is also worth the trip! We really like the floral Kate button-down (€140), a straight male shirt, as well as the Brandon Froufrou top (€160) inspired by American football jersey with wide sleeves. Both pieces marvelously play with the contrast between a standard and masculine cut and very feminine fabric and patterns.
Honorable mention to the Harry trousers (€160) mixing classic cut and disco details.
