In addition to the boutique dedicated to chocolates, macaroons, pastries and gifts, the Hôtel Fauchon and its Grand Café opened in 2018, Fauchon is once again investing in the Place de la Madeleine with a brand-new and first Thé & Infusion boutique. At number 11, the 21m2 boutique is decked out in the brand's colors.
There are two sides, one dedicated exclusively to teas and the other to infusions. In the center and to the side, display cases showcase tea accessories and sweet treats.
The entire Fauchon collection is on display. Attractive metal tins and loose teas and herbal teas by weight are all on display. What's more, you'll be able to smell the whole range on site, thanks to a display stand.
The best part is that you can make your own customized infusion. You can choose from 4 blends to suit your mood, and then add one or two toppings of your choice from among the flowers, spices and herbs on offer (16 references to choose from).
For an evening herbal tea, I choose a "Moment Tranquille" base of lemon balm, verbena, linden and matricaria. The sales assistant advises me on the appropriate toppings for a peaceful night's sleep. Between rose, poppy, lavender and orange blossom, I end up choosing poppy, which brings a beautiful color to my herbal tea and a little acidity to the taste.
The assistant blends the tea harmoniously before our eyes and then fills the bag for payment by weight. My composition costs between 12€ and 13€.
Afterwards, you can personalize the label with the name of your choice, ideal for a personalized gift.
